Directions
Our Physical Address is: 990 River Road, Upper Black Eddy, PA 18972. Some GPS units work better if you substitute Erwinna for Upper Black Eddy. If you are using Google Maps just type in New Life Island. They know where we are!
From Northeast NJ:
Take rt. 80 west to rt. 287 south
From 287 take rt. 78 west to exit 15. At the bottom of the exit ramp turn left and follow rt. 513 south. Follow the signs carefully, 513 takes a turn in Pittstown. Follow 513 all the way to Frenchtown, NJ.
Follow 513 down the hill and around the bend to the right. Cross the bridge and turn left. The camp entrance is about one mile from the Frenchtown bridge on the left.
From the South:
(Philadelphia, South Jersey) Take 195 or 295 or 95 to Trenton and take Rt. 29 North. (All three highways have exits for 29) Follow 29 to Frenchtown, N.J. and turn left at the stop sign. Cross the bridge and turn left. The camp is about one mile on the left.
From Easton Area:
Take 611 south out of Easton. Turn on to 32 south in Kintnersville. Follow 32 to New Life Island. Watch for our sign about 1 mile below the Frenchtown, NJ bridge.
From North PA:
In Scranton turn on to Rt. 380 South. At the end of 380 take Rt. 80 east. After about 5 miles take exit 302 and follow Rt. 33 south. Take Rt. 33 to Rt. 78 East.
Follow 78 east into New Jersey. Get off at exit 3 for Rt. 173, at the end of the ramp turn left. At the first intersection turn left by taking the jug handle to the right and circling back around to the intersection.
Go straight through the light. You are now on rt. 122. At the traffic light by the QuikChek turn left You are on Rt. 519. This route turns a bit (a lot) so watch the signs carefully. Follow 519 to Milford, NJ.
Turn right at the light in Milford, then cross the bridge. Cross the bridge and turn left. You are now on Rt. 32, River Road. The next bridge you go by will be the Frenchtown Bridge, only 8/10’s of a mile to go.
The entrance to The Island is on the left about 200 feet past Bellissimo’s Restaurant.
From Doylestown PA:
Take 611 north and turn onto Silo Hill Road, by George’s Tool Rental. At the stop sign turn left onto Point Pleasant Pike. Follow PPPike all the way to Point Pleasant.
In Pt. Pleasant turn left onto Rt. 32 River Rd. New Life Island is 6 miles up the road.
From Perkasie PA:
Take 5th St. to Rt 313, turn right on 313. At the traffic light turn left onto Rt. 113. Take 113 until it ends at Rt. 611.
Crossover 611, you are now on Hollow Horn Rd. Things are interesting from here. Hollow Horn will take a right and then a left. Follow it down the hill, across the little bridge to the stop sign. Turn right.
Keep following through the covered bridge and up the hill past the VanSant Airport, until you come to the stop sign. Turn right, you are on Headquarters Rd. Follow Headquarters Rd all the way to Rt. 32, River Road. Turn left, you are about a mile from NLI.
When the river is low, as it almost always is in the summer, you can drive right on to the Island. We have a poured concrete roadway that goes across the riverbed. If the water is too high for crossing we will put up a chain across the camp road and you can park in the parking lot which is just south of the island entrance on the west side of the road.
